We would love to discuss partnerships with any local sporting or charitable organisations where we could work together to assist your fundraising.
For example we have the Westoe Travel Charity and Groups Cash Back Scheme
This allows local charities and sporting organisations to encourage their members and supporters to book their holidays through WESTOE TRAVEL and in return we will donate a percentage of the booking value back to YOUR Charity, Group or Sporting Organisation.

I am Sophie 22 years of age with a diagnosis on the Autism Spectrum. I currently attend Autism Able and I am the learner representative on behalf of the young people involved in the group. I would just like to thank you for kindly donated prizes towards our raffle and event which has raised a total of £2052 at the Cluny event. This will help our project grow and will go towards equipment and activities that support our needs. Without your help and support this would not have been possible and we are all very greatful for your kindness.
The group has given me so much confidence with my singing and also interacting with new people which with having autism can be difficult but more importantly has helped me to believe when i have doubted myself. I now look forward to performing infront of others with my singing especially as part of the autism able singers It gives me alot of focus and sense of belonging when I am struggling with a few things and also rehearsing every thursday brings us closer together in friendship and working as part of a team. Autism Able is not just a group for socialising. We are supported to make sure we overcome our difficulties and anxieties and learn new skills along the way. Thanks again for your kindness,
Sophie P

I am writing with an update on our fundraising efforts. Our Big Pink Dress Fundraiser on 21st March made an amazing £1,700 after costs. The raffle and donations on the night made over £900 due to the fantastic prizes we had donated by the local business community.
This year we have also made collections at the Laffalang Shows at the Pier Pavillion Theatre, held a “bake sale” at Harton Technology College and organised a fun day at ESPA College in Sunderland. Our efforts so far in 2015 have raised nearly £4,500 plus the £1,332 Colin made in sponsorship on last year’s Great North Run that takes us over £5,700.
Colin will be running the London Marathon in his second trademark Big Pink Dress and hoping to raise even more money for the Breast Cancer Campaign. He has been featured in the London Marathon runners magazine and at 9.10am on Sunday morning will be interviewed live on BBC2, hopefully you will see him along the way too. He’s kind of hard to miss. With his new foam wig he stands at over 7 feet tall!
We have several more fundraising ideas in the planning stage and lots of radio and press interviews coming up. Colin will also be featured soon on the new tv channel, “Made in Tyne & Wear”. Colin has recently been approached by the organisers of the Manchester 10K on 10th May and asked to run. He’s becoming quite a celebrity which can only be good for our cause. We are hoping to find a sponsor for this event as travel expenses are mounting up. If you are able to help with this or anything else in the future please keep us in mind and if you have any ideas for fundraising which we could get involved with just drop me an email.
And finally a huge thank you for your help in the past, we have been delighted at the response from family, friends and the local business community. We couldn’t do it without you.
Kind regards,
Hilary 23 April
