Fall in New England and Canada Holiday Itinerary
Day One: Fly to New York

Fly across the Atlantic to New York. Upon arrival, meet your Tour Manager and transfer to your hotel for a two-night stay, and to rest and relax after your journey.

Day Two: Explore Manhattan
Today you'll head into the heart of New York. Explore on your own, or join our optional guided tour, which ends with a visit to the Top of the Rock for phenomenal views from the towering Rockefeller Center. Later today we'll return to New Jersey for a further night.

Day Three: Travel through Upper New York State to Niagara Falls
Today you'll head north, boarding the coach for the scenic journey through beautiful, rural Upper New York State to spend two nights close to Niagara Falls. Enjoy your first evening in the colourful, bustling resort city that has grown up around the cascades, and which draws visitors from across the globe.

Day Four: See the Niagara Falls
Enjoy a full day in Niagara, perhaps board the Hornblower Niagara Cruise for a spray-soaked passage close to the foot of the torrent. Alternatively, for a bird's eye view of the magnificent Falls, take an optional helicopter ride above the tumult or enjoy lunch from the viewpoint of an overlooking restaurant.

Day Five: Visit Niagara-on-the-Lake en route to Toronto
This morning you'll make the short journey to the historic delightful town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, with its pretty houses and world-famous Shaw Theatre (one of America's most celebrated playhouses). After time to explore, we'll continue to the sparkling city of Toronto where you'll be able to see its glittering waterfront, sky-piercing CN Tower and its colourful contrasting neighbourhoods, including Chinatown and Little Italy, on an optional guided tour.

Day Six: Follow the Maple Leaf Trail to Ottawa
Today, you'll board the coach to head along the 'Maple Leaf Trail', travelling east along the colourful Maple Leaf Trail to romantic Ottawa, Canada's administrative capital. Spend some time exploring its pretty Victorian houses, the grand Parliament buildings and Rideau Canal before continuing to Montreal for a two-night stay.

Day Seven: Spend the day in Quebec City
Today's included excursion takes us to charming, historic Quebec City - one of Canada's oldest and most picturesque settlements. See the stunning Chateau Frontenac, ancient ramparts and UNESCO-listed centre on a fascinating, optional guided city tour, before we return to Montreal.

Day Eight: Explore Montreal's Vieux Port and travel to Jay Peak
After a morning spent exploring Montreal's historic Vieux Port area, board our coach once more for the scenic journey back across the US border into leafy Vermont, to spend the night in the exquisite surroundings of the Jay Peak mountain resort.

Day Nine: Travel through the White Mountains to Bethel
Travel through stunning scenery via the Franconia Notch and the spectacular fall foliage of the Kancamagus Highway. On this memorable day, we'll pass through the White Mountains, and head to the beautiful mountain village of Bethel, in the 'Great State of Maine', for a two-night stay.

Day 10: Ride on the Mount Washington
Cog Railway to New England's highest peak
Discover the sheer beauty of New England's scenery on today's optional tour. We'll journey along the leafy lanes of northern Maine and enjoy a ride on the Mount Washington Cog Railway to the summit of the highest peak in New England.

Return to Bethel, and this evening enjoy a guided drive in search of moose.

Day 11: Visit Portland, Ogunquit and Kennebunkport
On today's journey, call at prosperous Portland, with its waterfront wharves and fine seafood restaurants, then visit delightful beachside Ogunquit and exclusive Kennebunkport before crossing into Massachusetts to spend three nights in Hull, close to elegant Boston.

Day 12: Spend the day discovering Boston
Explore Boston, today, and perhaps join our optional guided city tour, which will show you where America's Founding Fathers once strolled. See famous Quincy Market, the Harbourside or the wonderful New England Aquarium, or cross the Charles River to the home of Harvard University. You'll find many opportunities to enjoy dinner here - perhaps sampling the local clam chowder, or a delicious New England lobster.

Day 13: Visit the Plimoth Plantation and Hyannis
Today, you'll have the chance to follow in the Pilgrim Fathers' footsteps at Plymouth, in the historic streets of 'America's Hometown'. You'll visit the fascinating Plimoth Plantation, where the early days of the European settlers are re-enacted. You'll then travel on to Cape Cod and visit Hyannis, hometown of the Kennedy clan.

Day 14: Visit Newport on Rhode Island
Return to New York via the elegant sophistication of Newport, Rhode Island. The East Coast's premier resort town is famously home to some of America's wealthiest families and their opulent weekend 'cottages'. You'll then transfer to the airport for your overnight return flight to the UK.

Day 15: Arrive home
Arrive back in the UK at the end of a wonderful holiday.

New England Tour Itinerary
Day One: Fly to the USA

Fly to New York and transfer by coach to your hotel for a two-night stay in New Jersey.

Day Two: Optional New York city tour
Come with us to downtown Manhattan. Explore on your own, or join our tour of the "city that never sleeps". Marvel at the Empire State and Chrysler Buildings, bustling Times Square and the green acres of Central Park. Walk down Wall Street, and look across the water to the Statue of Liberty. and enjoy stunning views of the city from Top of the Rock, atop the Rockefeller Center.

Day Three: Coach tour to New England
Heading north today, towards the beautiful New England states, we'll make a stop at the Yankee Candle flagship store in Deerfield. Browse the candles, and Christmas and Hallowe'en novelties, and relax in the cafe, before we continue to Mount Snow, our base for the night.

Day Four: Included Vermont and New Hampshire countryside tour
A marvellous day awaits as we delve deeper into the Green Mountain State of Vermont, where the maples, cedars and aspens are ablaze with red, orange and golden leaves. Visit the quintessential New England village of Woodstock with its covered bridge and traditional Main Street before we cross the Kancamagus Highway - often voted best spot for foliage viewing, or leaf peeping as it's sometimes known - on our way to North Conway and then Bethel, Maine, for our next two nights.

Day Five: Optional New Hampshire and Mount Washington tour
Soak up the stunning colours and rolling, forested hills of the New England scenery on our optional tour today as you travel the lanes of northern Maine, and join the Mount Washington Cog Railway for a ride to the summit of the highest peak in New England.

This evening, head out from your hotel on a guided drive in search of moose.

Day Six: Coastal Maine to Nantasket Beach
Journey south to the prosperous seafaring city of Portland, with its waterfront wharves and fine seafood restaurants. Then continue, via the exclusive Bush Family retreat of Kennebunkport, to Nantasket Beach, south of Boston and across Quincy Bay, and our base for the next two nights.

Day Seven: Included Boston day trip
Journey to Boston, one of America's most elegant, welcoming cities, today. Follow the famous Freedom Trail past the gold-domed State House and the Old North Church. Wander colourful Quincy Market, the Harbourside and the wonderful New England Aquarium, and cross the Charles River to the home of Harvard University.

Alternatively, join our optional guided city tour to see where America's Founding Fathers once strolled.

Day Eight: Included Plymouth and Rhode Island tour
Our final day sees you head to New York to board your overnight flight back to the UK. On your way, call in Plymouth, where the historic streets of 'America's Hometown' were once trodden by the first settlers, and fashionable Newport, Rhode Island, where 'weekenders' cottages' are opulent mansions.

Day Nine: Land back in the UK
Arrive back home, after a wonderful, colourful autumn holiday in New England.

Visa and Health Information
Visa/ESTA for USA: Under the USA Visa Waiver Programme, most British passport holders do not require a visa to travel to the United States if travelling as a tourist for up to 90 days.

Those qualifying for the Visa Waiver Programme must apply online for authorisation to enter the USA, for which there is an administration fee of $14 per person. This is called an ESTA.
This may only be obtained online by visiting the official website: https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov and registering at least 72 hours prior to travel.

Those who do not qualify for the VWP will be required to apply for a visa. Please contact the relevant embassy for any additional information. Without authorisation prior to travel, admission may be denied at a US port of entry.
