BE MORE CHILL (Musical)
One of the things that catapulted Be More Chill onto bigger and bigger stages is the runaway streaming success of its Original Cast Recording. With a nostalgically 80s-sounding score, the album gained over 100 million downloads in the USA alone, in a short amount of time, and created a huge and passionate audience of fans worldwide.
With a Tony Award-winning score, the musical tells the love story between a girl who just wants to be noticed, a boy who just wants to fit in, and the supercomputer inside his head who just wants to… take over the world.
When gawky Jeremy is offered SQUIP, a pill that promises instant coolness, he can’t help but swallow it down. But SQUIP isn’t a drug but a computer chip implant that begins to take over Jeremy’s actions.
A tale about teenage awkwardness, AI and free will – what a winning combination. The story is still on the up – from humble beginnings to Broadway and the West End in only a few years, and a film adaptation is currently in development too.

CITY OF ANGELS (Musical comedy) Opens March 2020
Set your sights on Tinseltown! After a successful revival at the Donmar Warehouse in 2014, Josie Rourke’s critically acclaimed production of musical comedy City Of Angels returns to the West End, playing at the Garrick Theatre for a limited season from 5 March 2020.
Set in 1940s Hollywood, two stories are being told simultaneously – a screenwriter with a movie to finish and a private eye with a case to crack.
With one story told in black and white, most actors play a part in each tale in an impressive feat of staging and set design. The tale flits between two worlds. In the ‘real’ world, Stine is adapting his popular detective tale City of Angels for the screen. As he types and as drama unfolds in his own world, the fictional world he’s writing plays out on stage next to him, with more than one parallel between the two.
Reprising their original roles are Rosalie Craig (Company) as Gabby/Bobbi, Hadley Fraser (Les Misérables) as Stine and Rebecca Trehearn (Showboat) as Doona/Oolie.
They are joined by Emmy and Grammy Award nominee and all-round icon Vanessa Williams, who you’ll recognise as Wilhelmina Slater in Ugly Betty and Renee Perry in Desperate housewives. Taking the role of Carla/Alaura, this will be Vanessa’s West End Debut.
Featuring an inventive set, impossibly glamorous design and an original jazz score that will transport you straight back to 1940s Hollywood. This production sees the full original London creative team reunited after 5 years.
The original 1990 Broadway production was nominated for a whopping 11 Tony Awards, winning 6 including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, Best Original Score and Best Scenic Design.
This production was nominated for 5 Olivier Awards when it premiered back in 2015, winning Best Musical Revival and Best Lighting Design.

The Comedy About A Bank Robbery
The Comedy about a Bank Robbery is a Mischief Theatre production that has taken over The Criterion Theatre in London’s West End. The smash-and-grab play is a light-hearted and hilarious story about a town where everyone is a criminal. Receiving rave reviews everywhere, this play written by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields is set to be one of the best comedies in the West End.
Set in the summer of 1958, an invaluable diamond has been left in the hands of the Minneapolis City Bank, unfortunately, this diamond is in high demand. With an escaped convict on the loose, the fate of the gem doesn’t look too bright. With the help of his wacky sidekick, trickster girlfriend and anyone else he can persuade, the play follows a path of lies, cheats and mistaken identities. In a town where no one can be trusted, the outcome is uncertain.

COME FROM AWAY (Musical)
Come From Away tickets are now available for the West End premiere of this moving tale of true events that transpired in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks.
Following critical acclaim across North America, Come From Away is set to premiere in London in February 2019 following a run at Dublin’s Abbey Theatre.
On September 11, 2001, 38 planes had to make unexpected landings in the small town of Gander, Newfoundland and Labrador. Come From Away tells the story of what happened when the residents of this small community struggle to accommodate nearly 7,000 ‘plane-people’ as they and the world are reeling in the days following the attacks.
Come From Away tickets have been in incredible demand during the Toronto and Broadway runs of the production. Do not miss your chance to get tickets to this strictly limited run!

COMING CLEAN until 1 February 2020
Following its acclaimed 35th anniversary production last year, Kevin Elyot’s Coming Clean is set to break hearts as it returns to the West End at Trafalgar Studios.
A remarkably earnest and enrapturing play, Coming Clean looks at the gradual breakdown of a gay couple’s relationship, exploring the often self-contradictory themes of fidelity and love. The play won Elyot the Samuel Beckett Award for promising writers upon its London premiere at the Bush Theatre in 1982. Last time it came to the West End, Coming Clean tickets flew off the shelves.
Coming Clean is set in a North London flat in Kentish Town. In it resides a seemingly perfect couple – writer Tony, and partner of five years, Greg. Such is their commitment to one another, both are open to one-night stands as long as they don’t impinge on their own relationship. But when Tony begins to yearn for monogamy, unsettling past relationships are revealed, and their differing attitudes towards love and commitment become clear.

Cyrano De Bergerac (Play) until 29 February 2020
Cyrano de Bergerac tells the tale of a French nobleman cursed with self-doubt over his exceptionally large nose. Originally set in 1640s France and written in the late 19th Century, Martin Crimp has adapted the old tale of love and insecurity. It was Martin Crimp who wrote When We Have Sufficiently Tortured Each Other,
The Cyrano de Bergerac is a fictionalised account of a real 17th-century French playwright and author. Quick-witted, quick with a sword and a heart the size of Paris, Cyrano should be a catch. But he just can’t get past his own appearance – especially that nose.
Can he win the heart of the woman he loves in a society riddled with superficiality and narcissists when he can’t get past his own face?

Dear Evan Hansen has struck a remarkable chord with audiences and critics everywhere. The New York Times calls it “a gorgeous new musical for anyone with a beating heart.” And NBC Nightly News calls this bold new musical “an anthem resonating on Broadway and beyond.”
"Instantly pierces your heart and burrows into your consciousness." Melissa Rose Bernardo, Entertainment Weekly

THE DRIFTERS GIRL (Musical) from October 2020
The Drifters Girl is a brand new musical starring the fantastic Beverley Knight. The new musical tells the tale of the world-famous vocal group The Drifters and the woman behind the scenes who made them. It will premiere at Newcastle Theatre Royal before transferring to the Garrick Theatre next year for a 20-week season. As a brand new musical about such an iconic group and a trailblazing woman, The Drifters Girl tickets are sure to go like hotcakes.
Legendary soul singer Beverly Knight will play Faye Treadwell, The Drifters’ manager who spent three decades getting The Drifters to the top. The story of The Drifters is an emotional rollercoaster, from world tours and hit records to personal tragedy and intense legal battles.
A doo-wop, R ‘n’ B and soul coal group, The Drifters have had an ever-evolving line up since the 1950s, and have had over 60 vocalists in their history. Faye Treadwell took over management of the group after the untimely death of her husband in 1967.
Faye took The Drifters on to higher and higher successes, making them a household name by the end of the decade and inductees in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame by the end of the next. In 1993 they performed at the Whitehouse for Bill Clinton and in 2004 they were included in Rolling Stone’s Top 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. Faye’s daughter, Tina, still continues the legacy of The Drifters.
This is the story of the world’s first female African American music manager and her fight to never give up on the group that she loved.
Thirty years, and hundreds of hit songs later, there is no doubt that Faye Treadwell was and always will be, The Drifters Girl.
Look forward to high drama and an incredible soundtrack including Save The Last Dance For Me, Under The Boardwalk, Kissin’ In The Back Row Of The Movies, Stand By Me and Saturday Night At The Movies to name a few!

ENDGAME (Play) 27 January - 28 March 2020
Daniel Radcliffe and Alan Cumming star in The Old Vic’s revival of Endgame, Beckett’s macabre comedy about hope and cruelty, as part of an exciting double bill.
Endgame centres on master-and-servant duo Hamm (played by Cumming) and Clov (Radcliffe). Hamm is an ageing, blind tyrant who is confined to a wheelchair – but soon becomes locked in a bleakly funny and subversively devastating stalemate.
Interrupted only by the occasional nostalgic musings of Hamm’s decrepit parents, Alan Cumming and Daniel Radcliffe portray one of theatre’s most famous double acts at The Old Vic: both clinging stubbornly to their routine of casual savagery, but entrenched in their mutual dependence.
Endgame forms the first half of a double bill, performed alongside Samuel Beckett’s rarely-seen short play Rough For Theatre II. This will also be performed on the evening by members of the company. Richard Jones (The Hairy Ape, Into The Woods) directs.
The show sees Daniel Radcliffe return to The Old Vic for the first time since Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead. Best known for his roles in the Harry Potter film series, along with The Woman In Black and Now You See Me 2, Radcliffe’s starring turns on the stage also include How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying (Broadway) and Equus (West End).
Alan Cumming, meanwhile, has won numerous awards for starring in Cabaret (Broadway), along with Hamlet (Donmar Warehouse), Accidental Death Of An Anarchist (for which he received an Olivier Award), and Bent (West End). On screen, his credits include Goldeneye, X2 and Emma.

The owner of the guesthouse, Nick, owes more money than he can ever repay, his wife Elizabeth is losing her mind and their daughter Marianne is carrying a child no-one will account for. And, when a preacher selling bibles and a boxer looking for a comeback show up in the middle of the night, things start to spiral beyond the point of no return… But Nick thinks he’s seen a way out. HELLO DOLLY (Musical) from August 2020
Well, Put On Your Sunday Clothes and get ready to have the night of your life – Hello, Dolly! is coming to the Adelphi Theatre in 2020. With British icon Imelda Staunton leading the cast in this classic Broadway musical as the titular lead, Dolly Gallagher Levi, Hello, Dolly! tickets are sure to be in high demand.
Imelda is back where she belongs in Hello, Dolly! This brand new production re-unites Imelda with Director Dominic Cooke following the critically acclaimed production of Follies at the National Theatre.
Hello, Dolly! features music and lyrics from musical legend Jerry Herman (La Cage aux Folles, Mack and Mabel, Mame) and a book by Michael Stewart (42nd Street, Mack and Mabel, Barnum). The iconic score includes classics ‘Put On Your Sunday Clothes’, ‘Ribbons Down My Back’, ‘Before the Parade Passes By’, ‘Elegance’ ‘It Only Takes a Moment’ and – of course – ‘Hello, Dolly!’.
Written in 1964, Hello, Dolly! is based on Thornton Wilder’s 1938 farce The Matchmaker. The musical follows the unsubtle, oft-meddling socialite and force of nature Dolly Gallagher Levi. Usually a voracious matchmaker, the brassy widow is struggling to fund a wife for the miserly, grouchy ‘half-a-millionaire’ Horace Vandergelder. But it soon becomes clear that the next match she’s seeking to make is for herself.

KUNENE AND THE KING (Comedy) 24 January - 28 March 2020
Don’t miss John Kani’s highly acclaimed play Kunene And The King marking the 25th anniversary of the end of apartheid. With a strictly limited London run, following its premiere in Stratford-upon-Avon and a sold-out run in Cape Town, Kunene And The King tickets are sure to be popular.
South Africa, 2019. Twenty-five years since the first post-apartheid democratic elections, two men from contrasting walks of life are thrust together to reflect on a quarter century of change. Jack Morris is a celebrated classical actor who’s just been given both a career-defining role and a life-changing diagnosis. Besides his age, Jack has seemingly little in common with his at-home nurse Lunga Kunene, but the two men soon discover their shared passion for Shakespeare.
Kunene And The King is written by South African actor, activist and playwright John Kani (Black Panther, The Island, Sizwe Banzi is Dead). In September 1987, John played Othello in a production at The Market Theatre, Johannesburg – he was the first black South African to do so.
Kunene And The King has been written to mark 25 years since the first democratic elections that took place after apartheid in South Africa. Apartheid began in 1948, after the National Party came to power, promising to restrict the rights of black South Africans. Over the next four decades, the rights of black South Africans were curtailed further and further with education and marriage laws, registration acts and segregation. It took until the early 1990s, after international pressure, national protests and the death of many protesters, for apartheid to be dismantled. After elections in April 1994, on 10 May Nelson Mandela became the first black President in South African history.
Book now for this fascinating play, co-produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company and Cape Town’s Fugard Theatre, as it transfers to the Ambassadors Theatre for nine weeks only from 24 January 2020.

Vienna in 1900 was the most vibrant city in Europe, humming with artistic and intellectual excitement and a genius for enjoying life. A tenth of the population were Jews. A generation earlier they had been granted full civil rights by the Emperor, Franz Josef. Consequently, hundreds of thousands had fled from the Pale and the pogroms in the East and many found sanctuary in the crowded tenements of the old Jewish quarter, Leopoldstadt.
“My grandfather wore a caftan,” says Hermann, a factory owner, “My father went to the opera in a top hat, and I have the singers to dinner.” It was not to last. Half a century later, this family, like millions of others, has re-discovered what it means to be Jewish in the first half of the 20th century.
The play will enjoy a 20-week run in the West End at Wyndham’s Theatre until 13 June 2020.

He based the opera on the highly controversial play, La folle journée by Pierre Beaumarchais, which had been allowed its first public appearance only two years earlier. A TASTE OF HONEY until 29 February 2020
A new revival of Shelagh Delaney’s seminal drama A Taste Of Honey comes to Trafalgar Studios. Written when Shelagh was just 19, this play follows an intense and vividly written dysfunctional family in working class post-war Salford.
Following the tempestuous relationship between flighty single mother, Helen, and her wayward teenage daughter, Jo, the play was very controversial when it was first written.
Putting working class lives – and especially women – at the forefront, Shelagh writes of Jo’s relationship with Jimmy, a young black sailor who is just passing through. After her mother runs off with a sleazy car salesman, Jo is left facing single motherhood as Jimmy prepares to ship out to sea and moves in with her gay friend Geoffrey who acts as surrogate parent until the two women must confront each other and the consequences of their actions.
A storyline of an unmarried teenage girl getting pregnant with a mixed-race baby and then moving in with a homosexual friend would have been incredibly shocking and taboo to Shelagh’s contemporary audience.

THE WATSON'S (comedy) 8 May - 26 September 2020
Jane Austen began writing The Watsons in 1803, but historians think she abandoned it after her father’s death. In 1871, Jane Austen’s nephew published the manuscript as it was; around 7,500 words long with no title or chapters.
Nineteen and new in town, Emma Watson’s been cut off by her wealthy aunt. She needs to marry, and fast, or be faced with a life of poverty and spinsterhood stuck in her humdrum family home.
Luckily, she has plenty of prospective suitors asking to dance, from dashing socialite Tom Musgrave to the stinking rich, socially awkward Lord Osborne. Which partner to pick?
So far, so familiar, but that’s when Jane Austen stopped writing. Two hundred years on, her forgotten heroine’s happy ending still hangs in the balance.
This clever and brilliant play takes a peek under Jane Austen’s bonnet and looks at what characters do when their author abandons them. Cleverly inserting ‘Laura the playwright’ into the play to attempt to guide the lost characters, Laura Wade’s fourth-wall-breaking new play is delightfully funny and a true tribute to Austen.
